Tips to stay connected to your college over the summer

So you’ve packed your bags, cleaned your dorm, and headed home for summer break. At home, life can seem pretty quiet without classes, friends to hang out with, and campus events to attend. You might even feel a little bored.

Thankfully, you can help make your summer away feel a little less tedious by staying connected to your college over the summer. Here are some helpful tips:

1. Take a summer class

Taking a summer class is a great way to stay connected with your college while also advancing your academics. It’s often a smart, cost-effective way to knock a few credits out of the way while focusing on just one or two classes instead of a full course load.

If you live within commuting distance to your campus, you might want to consider taking in-person classes there. You’ll get to visit your campus, see old friends who may be also taking summer classes, and potentially even make new friends and connections with professors.
