When talk show host and conservative pundit Dennis Prager released “The American Trinity” in 2009, it quickly accumulated nearly 500,000 views.

Now, Prager University has released a new version, “The American Trinity: Second Edition.”   Dennis Prager explains the three pillars of the American value system (Liberty, In God We Trust, E Pluribus Unum), and the story of how he discovered these three values while emptying his pocket one night a few years ago. This video lays the basis for explaining American exceptionalism.

“America is unique for its value system,” explains Prager. “The unique value system has made American Experiment in building a free, open, affluent, non-race-based, non-ethnicity based society the greatest social experiment in the history of the world

Prager touches on the meaning of the three concepts:

  • E Pluribus Unum: Latin for “from many, one”.  “Americans don’t care where you’re from,” said Prager.
  • In God We Trust: “America is founded on the concept God is the source of values,” notes the talk show host.
  • Liberty: “American’s aren’t the only ones to enshrine Liberty,” explains Prager. “But it is the only one to enshrine it with E Pluribus Unum and In God We Trust.”
