The College Board releases tuition, fee numbers of flagship universities in the US

The College Board has published its Trends in Higher Education report, and there’s somewhat bad news on the tuition and fee front.

According to the report, tuition and fee prices have slightly increased in the 2015-16 school year, just like the past two years. Adjusting for inflation, the average published tuition and fee price of a full-time year at a public four-year institution is 40 percent higher than it was in the 2005-06 school year.

A good number of schools posted double-digit percent increases in tuition in the same five-year span, including Delaware, Georgia, and Louisiana State. The University of Texas was one of the few schools that actually showed a slight decrease in price from years past.
