Coming off my own spelling mishap for a recent article on College Insurrection, I can’t really rip into University of Texas for this mishap. But, spelling ‘Texas’ as ‘Texsa” on every page of a media guide is quite the egregious error.

See Des Bieler’s article on the Washington Post Blog for pictures of the spelling error:

University of Texas media guide misspelled ‘Texas’

Some typos are more horrendous than others. Anyone can make a mistake, but when you work for the University of Texas, it is pretty important to spell “Texas” correctly. Especially when your typo shows up in a media guide. On every other page.

That’s one “Texsa”-sized typo.

The Longhorns’ media guide appears to have been fixed, but not before many chuckled at an earlier version which encouraged readers to check out “TexsaSports.com.”
