“Check your privilege” an insulting and self-righteous phrase.
It’s used as a way to shut down discussion. It only creates more division, guilt, and jealously. Stop reducing people to their skin color or body parts. It’s not cool.

It’s really weird but when I start hearing someone talk about privilege and check your privilege in a Leftist shut up type of way — what I really hear is “Hi, I am a lazy racist!” “I am too stupid and lazy to try to use facts to convince you and I have played the race card so often no one cares so now I am moving on to this BS”.
It seems to be coming more from White Ivory Tower Progs but it has spread out a bit since others have seen it is the new way to yell “shut up” and let me do my pigeon victory dance.
