What’s a conservative parent to do when their children are being taught by liberal professors at a pricey, progressive institution?

On the Fox News Channels popular The Five, one of the host had sage advice.

Well, on Friday’s The Five, The Five, Eric Bolling decided to share some advice about how to “combat” decided to share some advice about how to “combat” it, so to speak, emphasizing the importance of teaching good values to your children while still leaving them enough room to make up their own minds.

The co-hosts first revisited the controversy over CUNY students heckling and berating General David Petraeus, with Bob Beckel dismissing that this is the norm or that there is some kind of liberal conspiracy in American academia. Bolling asked him for examples of conservative professors trashing liberals, and Andrea Tantaros jumped in to say right-wing professors are “intimidated” at colleges.

On the subject of child-rearing, Kilmeade said he does his best to raise his kids to be patriotic and respect the history of the United States, but when liberal professors push their agendas in classes, “that stuff rubs off on you.” Bolling admitted he’s not sure where his son is going to end up politically, but felt confident that he’s gleaned good values over the course of his young life.

All five co-hosts also briefly talked about their parents’ politics, with Tantaros saying that the best example her parents ever set for her was teaching her the value of a hard day’s work.
