We recently reported that Howard University was experiencing financial problems so severe that is was poised for a credit downgrade.

With guest speakers like this, it is no wonder:

A top-ranking Facebook executive told a room full of students at the historically black Howard University that until recently, white men ruled the world.

Sheryl Sandberg, a chief operating officer for Facebook, said to students: “Men still rule the world and up until a few years ago, white men still ruled the world,” the Washington Informer reports.

During the Oct. 15 speech, she also claimed women are afraid to own their accomplishments and, in a round about way, accused students of being fearful, too.

“Put your phones down and think. What would you do if you were not afraid,” she asked.

The full report in the Washington informer shows Sandberg was freely throwing around the insults during her “inclusion” chat:

“During case competition, female classmates will do a lot of research, but when it comes to presenting the information they’ve found, they are timid and don’t want to take ownership of their work,” Belcher added.

Sandberg agreed, saying that while women often credit their success to others or to luck, men have no problem attributing their success to themselves.
