Len Tria of Hernando Today has written a new column which raises some very legitimate issues.

Professors of hate

People wonder why the country seems to be in a decline rather than growing intellectually and why our youth harboring such disdain for our country and our way of life.

The rise of progressive thinking, in my view, has done a good deal to brainwash our younger generation, turning them away from long-standing truths upon which this country was founded. Academia has been polluted with the most radical thinkers who are hellbent on bring this country down.

Look up Cloward and Piven, two Columbia University professors who devised a strategy through a “Manufactured Crisis” program to bring down the capitalist system of the nation. Their strategy, as explained by David Horowitz, is to “hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.”

To understand further, both Cloward and Piven were lifelong members of Democratic Socialists of America and were instrumental in creating radical organizations such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN).

They have been spewing their anti-American venom for a long time but they are only two in a plethora of radical professors who are poisoning the minds of our youth in colleges and universities around the country.

If you were a ’60s, ’70s or ’80s radical who participated in the Students For a Democratic Society and their guerilla faction, the extremist Weathermen who went around blowing people and places up, chances are you are now a tenured professor at a prestigious institution of higher education.

That would include Bill Ayers (The Bomber), his wife Bernadine Dohn, convicted murderer Kathy Boudin and Mark Rudd, who have or presently hold positions of teaching. They, along with a vast number of progressive educators, are filling the minds of our young with some very radical and dangerous ideas.
