Katie Taran of the YAF blog has the details.

Calling All Rising Stars!

Young America’s Foundation is now accepting application materials for our seminar on Mastering ConservativeRhetoric in the Battle of Ideas, which will take place February 7 to 9 at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill.

Now in its third installment, this innovative seminar brings together rhetoricians, speechwriters, and public policy experts to train young leaders to master the use of rhetoric to advance conservative principles.  Of particular emphasis this year is communicating the moral case for free enterprise-an argument many conservative leaders have failed to make.

Only 20 of the best and brightest up-and-comers in the Conservative Movement will be selected to participate in this seminar.  The limited capacity means you will receive specialized attention, with the focus being on developing your skills to accomplish your goals.

By attending this program, you will hear from author, rhetoric expert and Foundation director Wynton Hall and author, presidential speechwriter, and YAF alumnus Marc Thiessen, among many others to be announced.  You will also:

  • Explore the methods and presentation styles of the Conservative Movement’s most effective communicators, including Ronald Reagan.
  • Engage in small discussions with fellow participants to actively hone your message
  • Learn concrete strategies to communicate conservative values to others in your community
  • Utilize new media effectively to reach new audiences with a conservative message.
  • And more!

To apply, please email a resume and brief essay on why you would like to attend this seminar and how it will advance your personal and professional goals to Katie Taran at [email protected].
