Hillary’s biggest Democratic competition is continuing his university tour with a stop at the University of Chicago Monday.

Bernie Sanders Is Coming To The University of Chicago Monday

Democratic Presidential nominee hopeful Bernie Sanders will pass through Chicago for the second time on the campaign trail, making a quick stop at the University of Chicago on Monday before heading off to Washington.

This is the second time the Vermont Senator has appeared in Chicago since he announced his candidacy in April. Sanders appeared to a packed house for a fundraiser in August at the Park West, where he ignited a crowd of supporters with his now familiar populist rhetoric. His hour-long speech touched on everything from corporate money in politics to women’s rights, free college tuition and Sandra Bland, the Naperville woman who died in a Texas jail cell after being violently arrested by a state trooper.

Initially viewed as something of a long shot for the Democratic nomination, Sanders’ campaign has been steadily gaining steam. CNN reports a new poll in New Hampshire has Sanders leading Hillary Clinton by 16 points, with 46 percent of the vote.
