Rodriguez was lodged at the jail on suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm on school grounds.

Police: Student had handgun at Union College

A 22-year-old student was arrested and taken to jail Wednesday after police say he possessed a handgun on Union College’s campus.

The college’s campus security director contacted Lincoln police around 12:30 p.m. after receiving a report Rudy Rodriguez threatened to harm a student he knew and himself, Officer Katie Flood said.
