Still no deal in college union talks

TRAVERSE CITY — Faculty members contend negotiations at Northwestern Michigan College are moving slowly and without agreement as ongoing attempts to reach a deal on a union contract tick into their 14th month.

NMC Faculty members voted to unionize in May 2015, citing a need for better representation in decisions made at the college. Vice President of Finance and Administration Vicki Cook said proposals sent back and forth across the negotiating table have yet to yield an agreeable consensus.
