Email from student mad about financial aid closes Grays Harbor College
ABERDEEN, Wash. — A student upset about financial aid sent angry emails to Grays Harbor College here.
And the college took them seriously enough Tuesday to close the school, which was in the middle of final exams.
“Grays Harbor College is closed this afternoon because of a viable threat made to the safety of our campus,” Jane Goldberg, college spokeswoman, said.
But Aberdeen police investigated and determined that the student hadn’t committed a crime. He was not arrested.
Police went to the college at 1 p.m. but ended up going to the home of the student who sent the emails.
