Yale goes trans: Promotes gender-neutral bathrooms across campus
Yale University is touting gender-neutral bathrooms across campus to coincide with its 315th commencement on Monday.
“For the convenience of our students and guests, all gender restrooms are available across campus, including on the Old Campus where Commencement takes place,” the Yale University website states.
“The Ivy League university installed gender-neutral bathrooms in 23 buildings this school year, and has a map showing where they can be found. Signs on the bathrooms read ‘All Gender Restroom’ but still use the standard sign depicting silhouettes of both a man and a woman,” reports The Hill.

I thought that legally in the US, your name is whatever you go by. It’s only because of all the mmodern requirements for ID that it doesn’t end up that way.
The serious trans types generally go to the trouble of having their names changed by jumping through all the relevant legal hoops.
Umm… Is this really that big a deal? I know a lot of people who go by names other than what is on their birth certificate (usually their middle name). This seems to be a fight over trans/cis that isn’t really.
All I can see is legal complications in future with them shouting unfairness because they failed to follow the rules.
