A lot of resources are available for students.

College students start awesome businesses: Why not more?

Thanks to The Social Network, everyone thinks Facebook when it comes to a company started by college students. But, as Time pointed out, while it “may be the most familiar of college startup stories … it’s hardly the only one.”

Some of the most well-known companies came from college students, including Insomnia Cookies, Reddit, The Onion, and Snapchat.

For those who are inspired by the list above, college may be the best place to start. Time notes:

For one thing, you have a network of resources at the ready, from actual networking opportunities with alumni, to professors’ industry expertise, to specialized classes in technology or finance. About a third of business incubators are based at universities, according to the Kauffman Foundation.

There’s also “freedom in youth,” and time. Students can learn from their classmates what people their age like. They can take classes which improve business skills.
