Survey: Students’ Preference in Presidential Election
Preliminary results from a national survey of college students found that Senator Bernie Sanders, the independent from Vermont who is seeking the Democratic presidential nomination, is students’ preferred presidential candidate by a wide margin.
The survey of students at 100 four-year university campuses, which seeks to be representative of the nation’s undergraduate population, found that 32 percent of respondents prefer Sanders. Hillary Clinton, the former U.S. secretary of state and candidate for the Democratic nomination, was second with 15 percent. Donald Trump, the businessman and former reality television star who is seeking the Republican nomination, had 6 percent. John Kasich, the Republican governor of Ohio, was next with 5 percent.
About 16 percent of respondents don’t plan to vote. And another 12 percent said they don’t know for whom they will vote. Among those who plan to vote, 44 percent prefer Sanders, followed by 21 percent for Clinton and 8 percent for Trump.

My God, when I was in college, the number of stupid students was much lower. There is really little hope for the country when many students want to vote for an idiot.
Let’s say Sanders is elected and found a way to tax our way to “free college”. Procedurally speaking, it would take 3 years minimum and that’s an unrealistic minimum on an unrealistic assumption.
This means all these 18-22 year old Sanders lovers in college now will either be almost done or already graduated by the time his plan rolls out. They will pay the highest tuition in the nation’s history AND have to foot the tax bill for future generations while trying to hunt for a job. Then, we will see them complain about generational theft from both ends like vomit and diarrhea.
Just goes to show how truly ignorant the current crop of college kids are in the aggregate. These are also the “geniuses” who wet their pants at the thought of guns, hate the 1A and are none to fond of the rest of the Bill of Rights, and actually believe the economic fairy tales told them by their leftist professors.
More and more I think no one should go to college until they’ve actually worked in the real world for a minimum of two years. Not only would that help to inoculate them against leftist silliness, they’d have 1) motivation to study a real major instead of medieval lesbian basket weaving and 2) some money saved to reduce the need to go to loan sharks to fund their higher education.
Once the money spigot opens up – the colleges are going to jack up prices like there is no bottom to that well ….
Lord what a mess.
