Bill Could Legalize Guns On Georgia College Campuses

Savannah, GA– A bill that would legalize guns on Georgia’s college campuses could be come law by the end of this month.

The legislation would allow anyone 21 or older with a weapons license to carry a gun on public college campuses. The weapons would still be banned from school housing and sporting events.

Armstrong State University student, Brandon Nicole Thompson, says some students feel it’s best to let authorities respond to the threat.

“The maturity level that you need to have a gun, I’m not sure every college student would have it and to allow every college student to have a gun doesn’t seem so smart.”
