Police: Former Student Stole 22 Computers From College Lab
Authorities say a former Syracuse University student has been charged with stealing nearly two dozen computers from a campus lab.
The Post-Standard of Syracuse reports (bit.ly/1QM9p9M) that city police say 31-year-old Dhawal Gandhi was arrested last week and charged with stealing 22 desktop computers and equipment worth more than $30,000 from the university’s Link Hall.
Police say Gandhi entered the building on the night of Feb. 19 and cut the cables securing the computers to tables. Officials say more than half of the computers have been recovered and Gandhi sold some of the others.
