Obama Won’t Speak at His Daughter’s Graduation This Spring
The president claims he’ll be a little too emotional to deliver a speech.

Obama Will Not Speak At Daughter’s Graduation
At a lunch in Detroit on Wednesday, President Obama announced he will not be giving the commencement speech at his daughter’s graduation.
“I’m going to be wearing dark glasses … and I’m going to cry,” ABC reports.
Obama says he will be so overcome with emotions at this customary ceremony that he will be forced to “cry and sit there.”
According to ABC, the president made similar remarks at a town hall in Baton Rouge, La., where he stated he is unable to talk about the subject of Malia’s graduation because it makes him cry.
During a speech at Maycomb County Community College in September, Obama recounted that when Malia went to the first day of her senior year, he had to “look away”: “I didn’t want to just be such a crybaby.”

Oh, please! It’s a just a graduation for pete’s sake. I didn’t want to attend any of mine. No point in working hard to get good grades and graduate with honors to top it off with boring speeches, phony pomp and rude helicopter parents. Just mail the diploma and I’ll have a nice dinner to celebrate.
I participated in my high school grad ceremony to keep peace in the house. After the ceremony was over, I returned my rented cap and gown, walked over to my car, got in, and drove home. I spend the evening reading, and then got a good night’s sleep. Parties? Prom? Most of my classmates either didn’t know me, or despised me; it was a cliquish school. Like showtime8 says: mail me the diploma.
