Threats on YikYak lead to arrests of students at area colleges
A freshman at Benedictine College is in custody after she allegedly made a threat against the school and put the campus on alert.
Missouri Valley College is also on alert after a threat was posted on the social networking site Yik Yak.
Colleen A. Carey, 18, has been booked in the Atchison County Jail for aggravated criminal threat. She was charged Wednesday afternoon with felony aggravated criminal threat. She is due in court on Tuesday.
Security was increased at Benedictine College late Tuesday after an anonymous threat posted on Yik Yak.
