According to a new poll, the people of Missouri don’t have much sympathy for the Mizzou protesters.

POLL: Missouri public holds negative opinions of Mizzou protests, related happenings

A public opinion poll conducted in the state of Missouri a few days ago shows that, by a fairly wide margin, the state’s public does not view the University of Missouri’s recent protests and associated events very favorably.

The Remington Research Group poll surveyed 711 likely voters on November 13 and 14, and has a margin of error of +/-3.6%.

In addition, more respondents (who were aware of the issue, 48%-38%) disagreed with the idea of an increase in the state’s cigarette tax to provide scholarships to public colleges.
