Judge tells mom to stop subsidizing NYC rent for Ivy-educated kids

A Long Island judge told an overprotective mom to cut the cord already — tossing out a marriage contract that required her estranged husbandto pay the Manhattan rents for their fully-employed, adult children.

Howard Beach pharmacy owner Jeffrey Liberman started subsidizing his Ivy League-educated daughter Jillian and son Jason’s living expenses in 2010 to “assist them in getting on their feet and becoming financially independent,” according to the ruling.

But four years later, when Jillian and Jason had left their parents’ Roslyn home — and each had jobs with American Express — their mom Julie still wasn’t ready to let go.

She pushed her husband to sign an agreement promising to continue monthly installments of $1,900 to both Jillian, 28, and Jason, 26, court papers show.
