Everyone is talking about the heroes who stopped the terror attack on a French train and rightly so, but apparently there was another man who helped; a college professor.

The FOX News Insider reported.

French-American Professor Was Shot Trying to Take Down Train Gunman

Another hero has emerged in the French train attack: a French-American professor.

Professor Mark Moogalian was shot after being the first person to confront the gunman on the high speed train, which was traveling between Amsterdam and Paris.

Moogalian’s wife Isabella said that her husband noticed that a man went into the bathroom with a suitcase for a long time and then exited with an AK-47 in hand, prompting Moogalian to jump into action and grab the gun. He was then shot.

“I look at my husband through the seats at an angle and he looked straight at me and said, ‘I’m hit!’ There was blood everywhere,” Isabella said.

That’s when three other Americans — Sacramento State University senior Anthony Sadler, Air Force serviceman Spencer Stone and National Guardsman Alek Skarlatos – rushed in to restrain the gunman. A fifth hero, described as a French businessman, has decided to remain anonymous.

Moogalian is originally from Virginia, but has lived in France for more than 20 years.

He remains hospitalized with a neck wound and three broken ribs.
