The reason? Filming in front of the local FBI office.

FBI questions college journalists’ filming

SAN DIEGO — Two investigators with the San Diego Joint Terrorism Task Force visited a San Diego City College student’s home after she and two journalism students shot video outside the FBI’s local office.

First Amendment experts have expressed concerns over the April home visit, saying authorities crossed the line with inquiries likely to be seen as intimidating.

An FBI spokesman says the agency was justifiably cautious in trying to verify the students’ identities and their reason for making the video, since they had not called ahead as local news crews do when they need to use the building and sign as a backdrop.
