White House hopeful Rand Paul to speak at University of Iowa

IOWA CITY – Presidential candidate Rand Paul will address students and the community Friday morning on the University of Iowa campus.

As part of the Stand with Rand tour, the Kentucky senator will speak at the University of Iowa Student Union at 10 a.m.

Paul annunced his candidacy for the White House at a rally in Kentucky on Tuesday.

Members of the Iowa Democratic Party plan to hold a news conference at 9 a.m. to voice opposition to the Paul’s run.
