Oberlin Feminists Behave Like Children at Christina Hoff Sommers Speech
Some people just aren’t mature enough for college. The feminists of Oberlin College are a good example.
As we reported yesterday, Christina Hoff Sommers was invited to speak by the Oberlin Republicans and Libertarians.
Take a look at what happened, via Twitchy.

Comments
The type of audience behavior Christina Sommers encountered at Oberlin is alas all too common. Whatever happened to civility? If you don’t like what someone has to say, who forces you to attend their presentation? If you do go, fine, but behave like an adult. Before controversial speeches at Cornell, an administration official reads out Cornell’s policy which calls for civility and decent behavior. That it is necessary to do this is a sad commentary on our times. Colleges should present a wide diversity of ideas but one casualty of today’s mores on many campuses is that there is no diversity of opinion. There is free speech as long as it is the politically popular speech but not for competing ideas. We should be ashamed of the erosion of first amendment freedoms and of civility and politeness.
