10-year-old UK girl begins college classes for math degree

She may love playing with her dolls and watching Disney movie “Frozen.”

But Esther Okade is unlike almost all other 10-year-old girls — she’s just started studying for a degree in math, reports CNN.

The British-Nigerian youngster enrolled in Open University distance learning courses in January.

And the Walsall, West Midlands, prodigy is already topping her class after scoring maximum marks in a recent test.

Her mom, Efe, said the youngster had badgered her to be allowed to study at college ever since she was just 7.

And it looks like her little brother Isaiah is following in her footsteps.

The 6-year-old is already taking advanced high school A-level exams in math, and studying calculus and advanced algebra.

Esther Okade aims to complete her course in two years and then do a PhD in financial math when she’s 13.
