Charged With Rape, Student Says ’50 Shades of Grey’ Was His Inspiration
This is horribly tragic.

Student charged in rape told police he was re-enacting ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’
A University of Illinois at Chicago student leader was arrested and charged with raping a 19-year-old female student and told police he used “50 Shades of Grey” as inspiration.
Bail for Mohammad Hossain, 19, was set at $500,000 and he was formally charged with criminal sexual assault, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Hossain and the woman — who had seen each other in the past — went to his dorm room Friday about 5:30 p.m, according to Assistant State’s Attorney Sarah Karr.
Once inside, he allegedly asked her to remove her clothing and she did. He then bound her and began hitting her with a belt, according to WGN.
That’s when prosecutors say she began “shaking and crying” and asked Hossain to stop. Instead, they said, he began striking her with his fists, held her down and raped her.
The victim was allowed to leave shortly after and called the police.
Hossain told police he was re-enacting scenes from “50 Shades of Grey.”
