Troy University Refuses to Apologize to Atheists for Sharing Video About Religion and Democracy
Good for them. This is a follow up to a story we reported earlier this week.
Jennifer Kabbany of the College Fix reported.
College stands firm against atheists who demanded apology for video connecting religion and democracy
When Chancellor Jack Hawkins of the Alabama-based Troy University dared send a year-end email to the campus community last month with a 90-second video that delved into the concept of how religion is critical to the functioning of a democracy – atheists soon demanded an apology.
They are not going to get one.
The university issued a statement standing firm, saying the video was meant to “spur introspection and encourage thoughtful discussion as we transition from the challenges of 2014 to the opportunities ahead in 2015,” AL.com reported today.
“Troy University is an international university that contributes regularly to the global marketplace of ideas,” Troy’s statement added. “This message and video were shared to provide the university community with information and insights for healthy consideration and debate about our country’s democracy, the role it plays in the world and the challenges America faces going forward.”

**NOT ALL ATHEISTS ARE LIKE THIS**
But … none of the “moderates” speak up when others ARE like this ..
It is **ONCE AGAIN** shown that atheists are not simply “those that don’t believe in God”, but those that actively fight against any free expression, discussion of, relation to history to, or showing of faith by those that do believe in God.
Meanwhile – most Christians have no problem with Atheists espousing their PoV – some do, in fairness, and, IMO, that’s wrong.
For a group of people who claim to not believe in God, they sure do devote an insane amount of time and energy actively fighting against a belief system they claim is purely made up.
ALLAHU AKBAR! Yeah, democracy depends on religion.
He said “religion” not emperor worship of a goat-screwing warlord. But nice try, jerk.
So, you get to decide what is and isn’t religion? Nice hypocrisy.
