Young America’s Foundation Announces Firing Up Freedom Tour
Young America’s Foundation is excited to announce the Firing Up Freedom Tour, a tremendous opportunity for Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) chapters to kick-start their Fall 2014 push to promote the ideas of individual freedom and limited government!
The tour will feature Kate Obenshain, author of “Divider-in-Chief: The Fraud of Hope and Change” and an alumna of Young America’s Foundation, who will visit college and university YAF chapters early in the fall semester to deliver a lecture that will inspire students to become bold activists. Kate is a motivational speaker who has addressed students on topics such as education, free speech, and political correctness. She will also promote on social media throughout the academic year the YAF chapters’ activism so that they can garner additional publicity for their achievements.
As part of the tour, a Young America’s Foundation staff member will join each YAF chapter following Kate’s lecture to provide hands-on guidance on campus activism. This guidance may involve assisting the chapter with tabling on campus, distributing or posting flyers, and writing op-eds, among other possibilities.
Additionally, Young America’s Foundation is fully funding this tour! Because this is an investment in our YAF chapters, we are opening this opportunity up for competition.
In order to apply to host this tour, a chapter should submit a 400- to 500-word proposal explaining how the tour would help the chapter grow and why the students believe that their chapter could organize a successful campus lecture.
