As you may recall, Suffolk University recently froze salaries. We can expect to see more of this.

New Hampshire Considers 4-Year University Tuition Freeze

A proposal to further freeze tuition at the University System of New Hampshire would be a first for the state, but students elsewhere already have benefited from such measures.

The system’s board of trustees has proposed extending the current two-year freeze for another two years if the Legislature agrees to its budget request. While higher education experts say such lengthy tuition freezes are rare, they’re among several ways schools are trying to address rising public concern about college affordability.

Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley instituted a four-year tuition freeze in 2007, and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker recently proposed extending a tuition freeze there from two to four years. In Texas, Illinois and Oklahoma, incoming freshmen can lock in rates for four years.
