Koch Brothers Give $25 Million to United Negro College Fund
Of course, leftists will find some way to make this seem like a bad thing.

Charles Koch donates $25 million to United Negro College Fund
The United Negro College Fund announced a $25 million donation Friday from two organizations tied to billionaire industrialist Charles Koch, whose conservative political network has been targeted for criticism by Democrats.
The grant from the Charles Koch Foundation and Koch Industries Inc. will fund nearly 3,000 scholarships for African-American students and provide general support for the College Fund and historically black colleges and universities.
The fund’s president and CEO, Michael Lomax, told the Associated Press that he expects criticism from people who don’t agree with Koch’s political views. “Criticism is a small price for helping young people get the chance to realize their dream of a college education,” he said. “I can take the heat.”
In a statement, Koch said the partnership “will provide promising students with new educational opportunities that will help them reach their full potential.” To qualify, students must demonstrate strong academic performance, financial need and “an interest in the study of how entrepreneurship, economics and innovation contribute to well-being,” according to the fund’s news release.
Koch and his brother David are known for their conservative political views. Americans for Prosperity, one group affiliated with their political organization, has spent more than $35 million to target vulnerable Senate Democrats.

IMO, Kochs wasted 25 million. Firstly, the UNF is not an especially well-run charity, having bought into all the AA, we-are-victims ideology. Secondly, this ain’t gonna buy the Kochs any good will.
The money would have been better placed with other, more principled charities.
The Koch brothers have done some stupid things with their money in the past, and this is one more…
Giving educational scholarship money based on the color of the recipient’s skin is racist. And perpetuates black racism. At the least did Charles Koch insist the money could not be used at black institutions like Morehouse College and Howard University, and others like them that extend segregation by choice? Or better still, used for tuition in Europe, so the students would get a better understanding of the world at large, so as not to see it thru Afro-centric eyes for the rest of their lives.
