Common Core Portrays White Voters as Racists Who Hate Obama
Common Core: Rewriting history according to progressives one page at a time.

Common Core Text Portrays White Voters as Obama-Hating Racists
A biography of Barack Obama designed for fourth graders and approved under the new federal Common Core curriculum standards portrays white voters as racists, hell bent on preventing Obama from becoming president.
The book in question, entitled “Barack Obama,” is published by Scholastic, and is now being read by elementary school students under the Common Core program, Red Flag News reports.
The book tells the story of Obama’s historic campaign to become the nation’s first black president. So far so good. But along the way the text paints white voters in a rather unflattering light: “Some people said Americans weren’t ready for that much change. Sure Barack was a nice fellow, they said. But white voters would never vote for a black president,” the book reads.
The book then mentions Obama’s former minister Jeremiah Wright: “Obama’s former pastor called the country a failure,” it reads. “God would damn the United States for mistreating its black citizens, he said.”
The text makes no mention of the fact that millions of white voters did, in fact, vote for Obama. Nor does it mention that Obama distanced himself from Wright during his campaign.
With no real context provided for these assertions, it’s reasonable to assume that many nine or ten year old kids would simply take these assertions at face value, believing, for example, that “white voters would never vote for a black president.”
The Common Core standards, which the federal government has used to consolidate control over the curriculum that local schools use, have been controversial from the start, coming under fire for poor quality and political bias.

Get Common Core and that lying history out of the schools. The intnt is to cement the notion that America is racist and evil. Whites are racist and evil. The only good people in America are colored people and Communists.
Horrible that that book has been around since 2008 or 2009, and Obama read it himself to school kids at least once at a school.
Yet, only now is it being decried? All because horrid Common Core makes such glaring, insane nonsense out of what SHOULD be education! And, to top it off, it emphasizes and glorifies this debacle of an administration.
Perhaps the one thing that we can achieve, due to this federal leviathan forced federal curriculum, is that we FINALLY see this: this administration is all about propaganda, all about revising history, all about destroying America and dividing Americans.
At the risk of being derided, this is fascist tyranny.
Forcing young children to read propaganda about a sitting US President has no “educational value.” The first President to do so. The only purpose is to indoctrinate – similar to how the USSR or China would glorify Lenin, Stalin, Mao or whoever was in power.
By the way, during the 2008 campaign, the only person who said ” (white)Americans weren’t ready for that much change. Sure Barack was a nice fellow, they said. But white voters would never vote for a black president,” was Barack Obama. He used that in every speech to throw the race card at anyone who did not wildly support him.
White voters gave him a great deal of support – but why ruin a good story with the facts–especially when you are trying to shape (warp) young minds.
