Columbia Art Students Battle “Patriarchy” with Lesbian Porn Film
A group of feminist activist art students at a prestigious institution have decided to make a lesbian porn film to fight our male-dominated culture.
Perhaps they did not realize the target audience for such films is usually not lesbians?
Feminist art students at Columbia University claim to have struck a mighty blow against patriarchy, objectification of the female body and university hazing culture … by filming a porno on campus grounds featuring naked girl-on-girl action.
And BDSM.
And some sexual play involving raw eggs and milk.
The short video is called “Initiation,” and is partly set in the Butler Library. The plot is based on some sort of crazed sorority initiation ritual, and shows several girls getting naked, making out and spanking each other.
One girl is bathed in milk, while others are pelted with raw eggs.
The very NSFW video was posted on a website called Purple TV..
“Initiation explores the rituals of American Ivy League secret societies, to the point of hysteria, highlighting our culture’s perception of female desire,” according to a description of the video on Purple TV’s website.
The video was made by Coco Young and Karley Sciortino, who also star in the three-minute porno. Young is an art student at Columbia. She described the video as a “feminist statement,” aimed at satirizing hazing rituals and male fetishization of the female body.
“It is a feminist statement,” she said in an interview with Ivygate. It’s also a messy one. Egg yokes and milk were spilled all over the library facilities. Young assured Ivygate readers that they cleaned up after themselves, however.Columbia did not respond to a request for comment as to whether anyone involved in the film would or should be punished.
