Video: Harvard Students Can’t Name Capital of Canada
You’ve heard of Canada, right? It’s that large country directly north of the United States where they play hockey and make ginger ale.
Could you name its capital? Most of these Harvard students couldn’t.

This reminds me of the time, over 40 years ago now, on a bet, some friends and I randomly asked 100 students at the University of California who Judas Iscariot was. I think we got 3 correct answers.
A similar video came out several years ago: an astronomy professor from Boston University went to Harvard’s graduation and asked the robed soon-to-be-Harvard-grads “Why is it warmer in the Summer than in the Winter”. As in the current video, maybe one person knew the correct answer. Many said (with great authority, sure that they were right) that it was because the Earth is closer to the Sun in Summer.

My only exposure to Harvard was… Harvard National Model UN. And yet, they don’t know about Ottawa, several hundred miles away?!?!?
I guess I shouldn’t have missed much…
