With such iconic conservative luminaries like Walter E. Williams associated with George Mason University, one assumes students are generally well-informed and reasoned in their opinions.

So this video of one of its scholars from the school’s Students Against Israeli Apartheid group may be shocking:

Macaela Bennett and Kat Timpf of Campus Reform have the background on this clip.

Dozens of students decried the state of Israel at a “Day of Anger” rally outside the American Israeli Political Action Committee (AIPAC) headquarters in Washington D.C., on Thursday.

“Jews have had their golden age under Muslim rule,” said Mohammad Abou-Ghazala, a student from nearby George Mason University, who identified as a Muslim.

“[N]o I do not support the continuation of the state because of what it means for my people and the perpetuation of the cruelty they have had for my people,” he added.

“Right now the U.S. government gives Israel $3 billion a year, annually which supports ethnic cleansing, colonialism, and apartheid,” said another student, from Tel Aviv University.

“But Israelis?” he asked. “I have not problem with Israelis.”

George Mason University (GMU) Students Against Israeli Apartheid hosted the event outside of AIPAC’s unmarked headquarters in downtown Washington D.C.

“1-2-3-4 occupation no more, 5-6-7-8 Israel is a racist state.” the students chanted.
