Prof claims Lincoln would have tried to stop climate change, like he did slavery
I know when I think of Lincoln, the Civil War and slavery, the first thing that pops into my mind is climate change. Doesn’t that happen to you, too?

Jonathan Overpeck, a renowned climate scientist and co-director of the Institute of the Environment at the University of Arizona, says of late he’s been reading about Abraham Lincoln.
Specifically about his approach to slavery.
And “Peck” (as his bio indicates he prefers) believes that as Lincoln stepped in to end slavery during the Civil War, Lincoln also would have moved to eradicate climate change, since it’s the “moral issue of our time.”
