Georgetown releases video promoting Obama climate change speech
Pundits of the left and right all agreed that Obama’s recent speech in Berlin fell flat.
So what’s a poor president to do? Go out and hype the next one!
Campus Reform has the report on Obama’s new set of speeches, which will be given at a much friendlier venue:
Both Georgetown University and the White House released video trailers on Saturday in anticipation of a speech President Obama is set to deliver this afternoon on his proposals for curbing global climate change.
“As we welcome President Barack Obama back to campus on Tuesday he continues this tradition as the fourteenth U.S. president to visit these storied steps,” says a narrator in the video, posted on Georgetown University’s official YouTube channel.
The White House also released a trailer the same day previewing Obama’s plan to announce new executive rules to restrict carbon pollution and combat climate change.
“This Tuesday, at Georgetown University, I’ll lay out my vision for where I believe we need to go,” said Obama, speaking over apocalyptic scenes of tornadoes, hurricanes, and smokestacks. “A national plan to reduce carbon emission, prepare our country for the impact of climate change and lead global efforts to fight it.”
“I hope to see you Tuesday,” he added.
