University of Buffalo film professor Laura Curry was carted off campus in handcuffs yesterday when it became apparent to police that her language was more offensive than the pro-life display she was protesting.

College Professor Arrested Amid Profanity-Laced Rant Against Pro-Life Students’ Display

A University of Buffalo professor was apparently so incensed by a campus display erected by a group of pro-life students that she engaged in a profanity-laden rant which attracted the attention of the authorities. Being lectured by the police to tone down her tirade apparently incensed the professor even more and she proceeded to rage against the pro-life students’ display with even more vitriol. The event, captured on a student’s cell phone, ends when the authorities detain the professor.

Laura Curry, a professor of film at the University of Buffalo, found a display so offensive that she railed against it and was warned by uniformed police to desist. “Where does it say I can’t use the fuck word in public,” Curry demanded. “I can swear because that’s part of my vocabulary. That’s part of my First Amendment rights.”

“That is swearing,” Curry says, pointing towards the signs. “That image is fucking profane.”

After two minutes of sustained profanity at the apparently graphic pro-life display, the authorities cuffed Curry and escorted her away.

Language Warning.
