The last time we checked New York University, the student’s there had just opened up a “Facebook Hook-Up Page“.

Now, in homage to “Women’s History Month”, the school continues to push the limits of sexual scholarship by offering several tasteless workshops.  Campus Reform’s Katherine Timpf has the details, along with a logo image which is indicative of the tone of the program:

New York University (NYU) celebrated March as “Women’s HERstory Month” with a presentation by a burlesque dancer named Chicava HoneyChild and a workshop entitled “69 Ways to Use Saran Wrap.”

The events, which took place at NYU, were sponsored by the school’s LGBTQ Student Center and Camp Grrl, a club for “queer” women,  and were paid for with school funds which come from tuition and student fees.

Monday’s event, “69 Ways to Use Saran Wrap,” promised to answer questions such as “What entails more risk: ‘scissoring’ or ’69?’” and “Are dental dams better for anal or vaginal sex?,” according to the college’s official event calendar.

It boasts that the information taught will go “beyond traditional prevention,” into “alternative and fun protection options, and non-traditional bedroom fun!”

The event description also details the specific groups invited:

“Lesbians, fluid and bisexual women, queer women, female-bodied folks that do not identity (sic) as women, people that identify as women that are not female bodied, and their allies!” it reads.

The NYU website hails the tradition of “Women’s Herstory” month as the time “dedicated to promoting awareness of the broad spectrum of people’s experiences as women.”

For example,  it sought to promote awareness of of minority burlesque dancers in Tuesday’s event, “History of Women of Color in Burlesque,” which invited dancer and Creative Producer of New York City’s Brown Girls Burlesque.

NYU’s LGBTQ Student Center did not respond to requests for comment.
