That Vice President Joe Biden lies is well known. For example, Biden is infamous for plagiarizing speeches.

However, in an attempt to relate to increasingly unenchanted young voters, Biden told quite a whopper — even by his standards:

Does it really count as a lie if a fellow simply can’t tell the difference between fantasy and reality? Yes. Yes, it does. Insanity is no excuse.

Last month, Joe Biden told a lie. I know that’s not at all specific enough, so here’s how CBS News described it:

During a campaign stop in Athens, Ohio, on Saturday, Vice President Joe Biden said the last time he was in the town, playing against the Ohio University football team in 1963, he almost got arrested for walking into a girls’ dormitory.

Ha, ha, ha! Oh, that Joe.

There’s just one problem with this heartwarming tale of youthful mischief, as Jim Hoft writes:

It’s a good story. It’s just not true… at all.

Shawn at Free Republic discovered that Joe Biden did not play football at the University of Delaware in 1961, 1962, 1963, or 1964, according to past yearbooks.

Go look for yourself.

I suppose it’s possible that decades of plastic surgery have left Biden completely unrecognizable, but what name was he using back then? Why isn’t the name “Biden” on any of those rosters?

Oh, wait, I know. Because he’s lying.

Is this a big f***ing deal? Well, it sure was a scandal when Paul Ryan claimed he ran a marathon, decades ago, faster than he really did. That made him “Lyin’ Ryan.” Whereas Biden only made up a college football career. Hey, that’s just Joe bein’ Joe! That lovable nut. Etc.

Biden lies about everything. When he wasn’t laughing and gesticulating and otherwise making an ass of himself last Thursday night, he was lying. He’s Lyin’ Biden. And that’s okay, because Democrats don’t mind being lied to by other Democrats. It’s their language. It’s what they understand. When they accuse you of lying, it’s because… try to follow me here… it’s because they’re liars.
